Operation Theater

At NU Hospitals, we ensure the highest standards of safety, technology, and patient care in every surgery. We have a fully equipped Operation Theaters (OT) and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD).

NU Hospitals Sterilization Process:

  • Autoclave: Steam sterilization for effective sterilization
  • ETO (Ethylene Oxide): Used for sterilizing plastics and tubing
  • STERRAD (Gas plasma sterilizer): Advanced technology to sterilize endoscopic and laparoscopic instruments within 30 minutes. It assures the instruments are ready for immediate use.

  • Warm Touch Machine:

    Maintain your body temperature during the surgery or other procedures, especially for pediatric patients.

  • DVT Prevention:

    TED (Thrombo Embolic Devices) and SCD (Sequential Compression Device) devices are used during prolonged surgery to avoid DVT(Deep Vein Thrombosis)

Urodynamics

Urodynamics is an advanced diagnostic test. It helps to evaluate how well your bladder, sphincter, and urethra store and release urine. It helps to diagnose issues such as involuntary bladder contractions and urine leakage.

Urodynamic Tests Available at NU Hospitals

  • Uroflowmetry: Measures urine flow. Quick, 5-minute results.
  • Urodynamics: Monitors bladder and abdominal pressure. Takes 1-2 hours, with results in 30 minutes.

Room Choices at NU Hospitals:

  • Deluxe Ward Rooms

    Deluxe rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, AC, cable TV, telephone, centralized oxygen, sanction equipment, private bathroom, attender bed, and closet space.

  • Emergency Ward & ICU

    Three- six bedrooms with shared space, centralized oxygen, and suction equipment. However, there is no attender bed.

  • General Wards:

    Separate Male, Female, and Pediatric wards for specialized care.

  • Two-Bed Rooms:

    You share this room with another patient. It includes an attender cot, centralized oxygen, and suction equipment.

ICU

At NU Hospitals, your safety and well-being are our priorities. Our 10-bedded ICU is equipped with advanced technology to provide you with comprehensive care. We use ventilators, Haemodialysis units, Masimo Monitors, and a full range of critical Invasive & Non-Invasive Equipment.

Advanced Patient Monitoring

At NU Hospitals, Masimo Patient SafetyNet systems are installed across all the intensive Care Units. It ensures continuous, non-invasive monitoring of vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, SpHb, PVi®) at the patient’s bedside with real-time alerts to caregivers.
